In an exhilarating vote count held at the Mildura Settlers Club tonight, Joel McMahon took out the M.D.P. (Most Dedicated Player) award with a total of 83 votes. McMahon made 170 runs for the tournament at an average of 34, as well as taking 7 wickets at 27.71. At the Willowfest presentation dinner, when asked if this was his proudest cricketing moment, McMahon described it as "up there." Also at the presentation dinner, McMahon was named in the "Lencia XI," made up of the best performing players across all grades at the carnival. McMahon is the first Dedication player to make the team, and congratulations from the Dedication board of directors go to him.
